Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has spoken for the first time Wednesday July 1, since leaving the country to undergo a medical surgery in Dubai.
In a video posted on Twitter by daughter Winnie Odinga, Raila who is seen clad in a yellow Polo T-shirt and a blue short, says he is high spirits, feels strong and rejuvenated.
Raila who has his hands pocketed in the video, thanks Kenyans and friends who sent messages of goodwill saying they have been crucial to his recovery.
“I want to thank all my friends, my supporters and all the youths who have sent me so many messages of good will. It has been amazing and wonderful, it made me recover so fast and that’s why I am up and about right now”, Raila says in the video.

Raila underwent surgery to treat a nerve disorder that had affected one of his legs.
The Odinga’s family spokesman Dr Oburu Oginga had on Wednesday, June 24, revealed that Raila had undergone for a “minor back surgery”, a statement that was reiterated by his wife, Ida Odinga.
