US President Donald Trump has proposed that the US elections be pushed forward citing the possibility of fraud and inaccurate results were they to be held in November 2020. He called for a delay of the election until people can ‘properly, securely and safely’ vote.
The 59th quadrennial US election has been scheduled for November 3rd 2020 but due to the Coronavirus pandemic which has wrecked havoc globally, the superpower is mulling on the best way to ensure that the voting goes on unhampered while still protecting the integrity of the election.
Trump is on record speaking against the universal mail-in-voting, which he says will make 2020 the ‘most inaccurate and fraudulent election in history’.
