President Uhuru Kenyatta has this afternoon presided over the National Covid-19 conference in order to review the national response in combating the virus and to chart the future within the global fight against the pandemic.
The conference, which brought together stakeholders from various sectors – including the Council of Governors, the Clergy, the private sector, the media, development partners and the civil society, set out to take stock of the impact of the virus, and whether efforts by the said sectors bore fruit six months after the first case was announced in March 2020.
President Kenyatta is expected to address the nation at the close of the conference to announce new measures in a bid to curb the spread of the virus.
