ANC Party Leader Musalia Mudavadi on Sunday July 5 revealed that he has been approached for a job by the government but has turned the offer down.
Speaking at the home of Nambale MP John Bunyasi in Busia County, Mudavadi who attended a Western Kenya leaders meeting reaffirmed he is in the race for statehouse in 2022.
“Jubilee Government has messed the economy that Former President Mwai Kibaki had streamlined. Now they want to involve us in their Government so that we are seen to be part of the MESS! I cannot accept to be part of bad leadership”, Mudavadi stated.
Although he did not disclose which position or kind of job he has been offered by the government, there have been rumors of a looming cabinet reshuffle with sources intimating that leaders allied to the Deputy President William Ruto will be kicked out.
Also present during the meeting is Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula, Lugari MP Ayub Savula among other leaders including over 100 MCAs from the region.
Lugari MP stated that Mudavadi will not shelve his presidential ambition by entering into a coalition with William Ruto.
Wetangula urged former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to support Mudavadi’s presidential bid stating that Mudavadi had shelved his ambitions to support him during the 2017 polls.
