Lugari MP Ayub Savula has muddied the waters in the battle for Western by sensationally claiming that he has been approached to take part in plans to overthrow Musalia Mudavadi in the ANC Party. MP Savula has claimed that the plans have been hatched within the ranks of NASA Coalition and are aimed at destabilising the ANC Party leader and scatter the gains he has made in Western Kenya.
The two time MP, who is also the deputy party leader of ANC, has sworn his unflinching loyalty to his Party Leader, alluding to his principles and his youth to insinuate that he is not eyeing any national seat at this moment. The battle for control of Western votes has escalated in recent days when Ford Kenya Party Leader was ousted and replaced by Wafula Wamunyiyi.
Both the ANC and Ford Kenya are affiliate parties to the NASA Coalition which coalesced to challenge the Jubilee Party for the Presidency. The sensational claims come after allegations that Musalia Mudavadi held a long meeting with DP William Ruto in the latter’s official residence in Karen before the DP left to attend the Madaraka Day celebrations at State House.
