Millions up in flames after fire guts down multiple garages in Dagoretti, Nairobi.

Four garage owners in Nairobi on Wednesday July 22 woke up to a rude shock after their garages were reduced down into ashes by a night fire.

The fire that gutted down the garages at around 3am in Dagoretti Corner area off Ngong Road resulted into huge losses in the tune of tens of millions.

Although the cause of the fire has not been established yet, residents claim it could have been caused by an electric fault since they have been experiencing irregular high power voltages over the past few days.

One garage owner stated that he was woken up at around 3am by the night guards at the garages, and after arriving at the scene he called the fire department and emergency responders who arrived at the scene at 4am and helped put out the fire.

Several high end vehicles were burnt to ashes by the fire with the garage owners stating that some of those vehicles belonged to clients who had brought them in for regular servicing and repair.

The affected individuals were notified of the incident as investigations into the cause of the fire commenced.

One of garage owner detailed that all four businessmen had insured their businesses and had already liaised with their insurance companies.

Among the cars that burnt down were Land cruisers, Toyota pickups and Proboxes.
