The Frenchman produced three classy finishes to help United pull five points clear of Sheffield United and boost their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League.
Martial opened the scoring for United inside 10 minutes with a diverted finish at the near post after Marcus Rashford had blasted a low cross towards him.
Two minutes before half time and the Frenchman doubled his tally and his side’s lead with a well-finished tap-in.
Then in the second half, Martial wrapped up the three points, and a jump to within two points of Chelsea, with a delicious clip over the keeper.
