Former Prime minister Raila Odinga has tested negative for Covid-19 after taking the test on Sunday June 14, at the KEMRI facility in Mbagathi.
“Just received my COVID-19 test results which came back negative”, stated part of the tweet from Odinga’s verified twitter account.
After receiving the results Odinga called on Kenyans to continue observing the Ministry of Health guidelines and thanked the testing facility for efficiency and professionalism in their operations.
“I commend KEMRI Kenya and Prof. Matilu Mwau of the Testing Centre, for the professionalism and efficiency displayed. Once again, I appeal to Kenyans to take tests, sanitize and observe social distancing”, the tweet concluded.

Raila took a voluntary test noting that the Covid-19 certificate is increasingly becoming a necessary document as the country continues to battle the pandemic.
There has been a growing disquiet from the public who expressed concerns over the many meetings Raila has been having with various political leaders.
Since last Monday, June 8, Raila has met Laikipia North MP Sarah Korere, Dr Jafar Barmaki, the ambassador of Iran and Laikipia County Woman Representative Catherine Waruguru.
Kenyans also bashed COTU Secretary-General Francis Atwoli for hosting the ruling outfit’s vice-chairperson David Murathe and former PM Odinga on Monday, April 13 as they breached the cessation of movement order.
