Health CAS Dr. Mercy Mwangangi has made a special appeal to Kenyans to seek medical care as soon as they feel unwell to avoid any health complications some of which could lead to fatalities. She was speaking on Thursday, 23rd July 2020 during the daily briefing on Coronavirus in the country.
She indicated that there have been reports of Kenyans shying away from seeking medical care until it was too late. This comes at a time when the number of fatalities due to the disease had risen to 263 after 3 more patients succumbed to the disease.
The CAS also said that 89% of the cases were asymptomatic, cautioning Kenyans to adhere to the government regulations as the disease was well within the community.
