Player David Silva will on Sunday make an appearance for his last match at the Premier League as Manchester City faces Norwich City. The 34 year old has won four premier league titles, appearing for 308 matches so far. Silva’s final league game will be at an empty stadium because of coronavirus restrictions, but he has been assured by manager Pep Guardiola of an invite back to Manchester when fans can return, so the playmaker can receive a proper farewell. He has won 11 major honours during the most successful period in City’s history.
Fans took to social media to share memories and wish the player success as he exits the stage after ten years at the Manchester City club. Silva also took the opportunity to reflect at his rewarding career and also to wish his teammates and fans goodbye.
I have enjoyed so much playing with you amigo! You’re one of the most talented players I’ve seen and I am sure you will achieve everything you want in the future.
