Kenyans on Twitter have rubbished the messages of solidarity by the women leaders, claiming that the statements are hypocritical since the leaders were ‘silent’ when Susan Kihika was ousted as the Senate Majority Chief Whip during an unprecedented purge in the ruling Jubilee Party.
When our good friend, Susan Kihika was being ousted, Ngilu was silent. Her recent utterances aren’t about support for women but misplaced loyalty. Waiguru and Susan Kihika are both Jubilee members. So was Waititu and he deserved the same support pic.twitter.com/pUMWf4KaFo
