COVID-19 UPDATE: Kenya records 497 new Coronavirus cases.

The Ministry of Health has confirmed 497 more cases of Covid-19 in the country. The confirmed cases are from a sample of 4,992 tested in the last 24 hours. The cumulative number of tests now stand at 221, 234 and the total case load has increased to 10,791. Speaking to members of the press, Health CAS Mercy Mwangangi said that 5 more people have succumbed to the disease, increasing the number of fatalities to 202.

71 people have been discharged from hospital, bringing the total number of recoveries to 3,017. Dr. Mercy Mwangangi has also revealed that the disease is systemic, affecting not only the lungs of patients but also other organs including the heart and kidneys.
