Kenya through the Ministry of Health has on Saturday July 25 reported 375 additional new Covid-19 cases, raising the total case load in the country to 16,643.
According to Health CAS Rashid Aman during the daily Covid-19 status briefing, 128 recoveries were reported, with 75 from the home-based care program and 51 from various health facilities to bring the total recoveries to 7,574 in the country.
“Unfortunately, we have lost 4 more patients bringing the number of fatalities to 278. Our sincere condolences to the families affected,” Aman stated.
CAS Aman further stated that over 50 percent of those who have died so far had pre-existing conditions adding that the reality of Covid-19 is now hitting home.
“It is now evident that reality has hit home, our brothers and sisters are losing lives with many more in hospitals. 50 per cent of those who have succumbed should be noted that had underlying conditions,” Aman said.
CAS Aman recommended for Kenyans to eat healthy and manage their sugar intake while observing hygiene and the containment guidelines by the Ministry.
