The Ministry of Health has confirmed that there are 278 more cases in the country, bringing the total number of cases to 9,726.
This is from a sample of 1,403 people who were tested in the last 24 hours.
Speaking to members of the fourth estate during a tour of Kwale County, Health CAS Dr. Mercy Mwangangi stated that 99 patients have been discharged bringing to 2,832 recoveries.
Three more patients have succumbed to the disease, bringing the total number of deaths to 184.

Kwale County Governor Salim Mvurya who attended the briefing stated that they will meet with the inter-faith council to ensure the congregation guidelines for the reopening of places of worship.
“We shall meet with the inter-faith council to ensure that the protocols on reopening of churches are adhered to”, Governor Mvurya stated.
