COVID-19 UPDATE: 144 more confirmed cases, tally now at 34,201.

Ministry of Health CS Mutahi Kagwe has on Monday announced 144 more cases of Covid-19 in the country. The new cases were confirmed positive from a sample of 4,260 tested in the last 24 hours. The total cumulative tests now stand at 454, 406. From the cases, 133 are Kenyans while 11 are foreigners. 88 are males & 56 females. Youngest is a 7 year old child & the oldest is 84 years.

The distribution of the cases by Counties are as follows; Nairobi 77, Mombasa 18, Kiambu 9,Kisumu 6, Kajiado 6, Machakos 5, Narok 5, Turkana 5, Nakuru 4, Nandi 2, Laikipia 1, Meru 1, Siaya 1, Isiolo 1, Kilifi 1, Homabay 1 and Tranzoia 1.

205 patients have recovered from the disease, 122 of whom were in home-based care while 83 had been admitted at various hospitals. Total number of recoveries now stand at 19,893. However, 3 patients have succumbed within the same period, bringing the total number of fatalities to 577.
