Baringo County Woman Representative Gladwel Tungo has lost her husband to the Coronavirus disease. The late Isaac Cherogony died in an Eldoret hospital where he had been rushed to after developing breathing complications on Saturday evening. According to reports by Citizen TV, the legislature has also been been tested for the virus and is expected to receive her results later this week. The home of the deceased has since been cordoned off. Contact tracing is ongoing.
The unfortunate incident comes at a time when several legislatures were found to be positive for the virus. Cases in the country continue to rise with the highest number ever recorded in a day yet being on 4th July 2020.
