The Kenya Urban Roads Authority –KURA- has on Wednesday August 26 announced the closure of a section of Mbagathi way in Nairobi to allow for construction works.
The closure will which will commence from Saturday August 29 through to Sunday August 30 from 6am to 6pm will allow the contractor on site to complete the installation of a footbridge truss.
The authority has provided alternative routes to guide motorists using the road and stated that traffic marshals will also be on standby to assist motorists.

Those heading towards Daystar University using Mbagathi Way will have to make a left turn at the Shell Petrol Station, and use Mtongwe Road and Muchai Drive to get to Ngong’ Road.
To access KNH, motorists will make a U-turn on Mbagathi Way to get to the Upper Hill-Mbagathi Link road before connecting to Hospital Road.
Those heading towards Defense Forces Memorial Hospital, Nyato Highrise Estate and T-Mall from Ngong’ Road will also have to use Mtongwe Road before getting back on Mbagathi Way at the Shell Petrol Station
